Families Are Victims, Too

Families Are Victims, Too painted by artist Barbara Smolen with a poem by Trapeta B Mayson is located in the Kingsessing neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This mural is a memorial wall to victims of youth violence and is named after and organization that provided support to the families of slain children. When the mural was dedicated a crowd of close to 200 neighbors and supporters gathered to pay tribute to those being memorialized. A combination of landscape, words, and memories, the wall is a moving tribute.
