Four music-themed murals at the Mann Older Adult Center (titles unknown)

Four music-themed murals were painted by the Philadelphia Anti-Graffiti Network at the rear entrance to the Mann Older Adult Center probably in the summer of 1989. Created as part of then-recently developed summer programs with University of Pennsylvania and Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, the murals were designed by various artists and completed with the assistance of the hundreds of area youth involved in the program. Designed to beautify and inspire neighborhoods, styles of murals during this time often featured landscapes or figurative scenes, and occasionally abstraction.
Location Note: Murals no longer on view at this location (painted out before 2007).
