Gateway to Philadelphia

Gateway to Philadelphia by artist Paul Santoleri was located in the South Philadelphia. Painted across two bridges and their respective underpasses, this extensive mural depicts the nature that exists between the highways, railroads, and industry of Philadelphia. Each plant found in the mural is native to the area and one you would find in the surrounding area. Just like the large honeysuckle which can be found painted and planted throughout the city providing a pleasant scent for residents.
Location Note: Mural no longer on view at this location (replaced by Rolling, also by Paul Santoleri, in 2015).
