I Leave A Thirst For Education

I Leave a Thirst for Education by artist Cesar Viveros is painted on the exterior of Frederick Douglas Public School (now Frederick Douglass Elementary – Mastery Charter School) located in the North Philadelphia neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Stretching across two walls, this mural rises three stories into the air. Each story depicts a different vignette associated with learning. The first floor shows students learning and caring for animals, the second floor celebrating and taking photos, while the third floor shows students engaged in the arts and a pair of lions looking on protecting the students from harm.
