Imagining a Modern Philadelphia

Gaia’s Legacy Project showcases architects in the context of the cities that they helped to create. In Philadelphia, no one has a larger legacy than architect and urban planner Edmund Bacon. The abundant use of light colors such as white and grey help the portrait to stand out for blocks. In the mural, Bacon gazes down at those traveling the streets of the city that Bacon helped so much to shape.
