Kensington Storefront Van

The Kensinton Storefront van designed by artists Zerbe and Jose Bustamante is a mobile van wrapped with unique artwork and designed to deliver Mural Arts Philadelphia’s programs as part of its Porch Light Program. Porch Light is designed to help achieve universal health and wellness amongst those who call Philadelphia home, as an extension of Mural Arts’ belief that “art inspires change.” The van, a gift from the Snider Foundation and Anderson Family Foundation, was introduced to support the expansion of the Kensington Storefront’s arts, culture, and wellness programming in the 19133, 19134 and 19125 ZIP codes.
The van wrap’s design is inspired by iconic visual elements from the neighborhood, depicting a blueprint of the Frankford elevated train underpass that runs through the Kensington. The blue and teal colors mirror the color of the patina on the train’s metal structure.
