La Selva de Taino

La Selva de Taino (The Taino Jungle) is a mural painted on the side of a restaurant. Artist Stephane Acevedo-Coit wanted to represent elements of the Puerto Rican tropics (vines and hibiscus and leaves and palm tree) and native Taino indian drawings (a snail, a coqui frog, a sun, and a monkey). Many walkers and bikers passing by for the 2017 Philly Free Streets event stopped to help paint the mural on that day.
