Metanoia

Metanoia was painted by teaching artists Dom Lyner and Brad Carney, who have taught students in school and after school about radial symmetry using the theme “We the Power” to discuss various themes and projects. This culminating design reflects classroom experiences, community development with SAC meetings, and teacher input.

The mural uses perennial flowers as a metaphor for high school, as we [students] all come back every year. The radial patterns and line drawings grow together to rise up to meet the neighborhood’s students, staff, and families.
