Moxie Roots

Moxie Roots is a mural inside Roxborough High School. The cafeteria at the high school faces Gorgas Park, whose idyllic green space and mature trees inspired biology and chemistry students to explore patterns of connection and interdependence. With artist Ben Volta, students explored the many types of branching connections that sustain their own lives. Students also worked with artist Michael Konrad to design and create murals to “brand” and decorate the hallways and classrooms of the three academies at Roxborough High School.
