One Day at a Time

One Day at a Time by artist Cavin Jones was located in the North Philadelphia neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The mural depicts community leaders, including Rachel Bagby and Lloyd Logan, who was instrumental in developing community gardens and who took neighborhood children under his wing with sports and scouting programs. Jones, the artist, used a simple, stained-glass effect to make the image more vibrant and inspirational. He had a 12-year-old assistant who drew all the images on the bottom border. The vacant lot in front of the mural was later turned into a garden.
