Our Vision, Our Testament

Our Vision, Our Testament by muralist James Burns is a visual representation of the dialogue that took place during weekly workshops with individuals receiving services at Sobriety Through Outpatient (S.T.O.P.) for substance use and mental health challenges. During the workshops with participants, the artist asked “What do you value about community?” and “What are the things that make a community thrive?”. Participants responded through words, lists, and collages. The design for the mural is derived from this communal investigative process, and strives to represent the voice of the community and the spirit of its values.
