Passage Parts I & II

Passage Part I by artist Michael Schwartz and Passage Part IIKim Alsbrooks are murals located in the West Philadelphia neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. For Passage Part I, Schwartz worked with the Agape African Senior Center to create a mural dealing with the direct experience of West African immigrants to Philadelphia. To create Passage Part II, Alsbrooks worked with the non-profit organization Lutheran Children and Family Services to complete a more general vision of the immigrant experience. The mural features a Philadelphia cityscape, children playing along the Schuylkill River, and showcases the diversity of ethnic communities within the city.
