Schuylkill Tapestry

Schuylkill Tapestry by artists Johnny Buss and Mike Smash is located on the supports for the Twin Bridges in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The mural inspired by Japanese art forms incorporates images of the surrounding environment including the Schuylkill River, fish, insects, flowers and ferns all indigenous to the area. Special to this mural is the painted oxygen bubbles were created with photo-luminescent paint which will absorb sunlight making those sections glow at night.

This mural replaces an older mural at this location depicting Olympic sports stars, painted by artist Ras Malik.
