Seeds of Community

Seeds of Community by artist Eric Okdeh is located in the Overbrook Park neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This mural was part of the partnership between the School District of Philadelphia and the Mural Arts Program. It was designed and painted by the 6th, 7th, and 8th Graders at Lamberton Elementary. The design was one determined by the students to best symbolize both their school community and the greater community of their neighborhood.

The mural includes a quote from Margaret Meade: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
