South Philly Musicians

South Philly Musicians by artist Peter Pagast was located in South Philadelphia. A collaboration with WXPN, this mural celebrates South Philadelphia musicians of the Bandstand era and features musicians and DJs from the neighborhood, including: Frankie Avalon, Chubby Checker, Fabian , Eddie Fisher, Al Martino, Bobby Rydell, and Jerry Blavat (aka “The Geator with the Heater”). The mural was removed from this location in 2016 and reenvisioned as South Philly Musicians Remix at 1532 South Broad Street.
