Spread Wings

Mural Arts Philadelphia Artist David McShane’s mural Spread Wings was part of the Philadelphia Ballet’s (formerly Pennsylvania Ballet’s) exhibition inspired by Shawn Theodore’s photographs of company dancers. The portable, free-standing mural was displayed as part of Spread Your Wings , a public exhibition of photography, video, an indoor mural, and live performances created to inspire creativity and personal engagement with dance and storytelling.

Location Note: The mural was installed as part of an exhibition entitled Spread Your Wings at Cherry Street Pier in May/June 2021. It is no longer on view at this location.
