Stinger Square Park murals
Four small murals installed on a small building at Stinger Square Playground in South Philadelphia, likely by Lillian Ray and Jane Golden. The themes reflected the activities happening in the playground: children running, jumping and playing on the playground. The mural was created as part of the Philadelphia Anti-Graffiti Network.
Murals painted by the Philadelphia Anti-Graffiti Network (PAGN), a City agency and the precursor to the Mural Arts Program, were created with the goal of transforming graffiti writers’ talents into positive community arts initiatives. Read more about Mural Arts’ history here.
