Suburban Sun

Suburban Sun by artist Phillip Adams is located on a stairwell entrance to the Suburban Station public transit concourse in Center City Philadelphia. The artist focused on an art deco aesthetic, and wanted to cue people to go down and up stairwells. Since the stairwells are tight and dark, the design and palette are simple, clean, and light. The goal is to help people know where they are and orient them.

Location Note: Mural is located on the stairwell entrance to the Suburban Station Concourse at the southwest corner of 16th Street and JFK Boulevard in Center City Philadelphia.
