Sundown / Puesta del Sol

Puesta del Sol (Sundown) by artist David Serotkin was located in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Created in collaboration with the Big Picture program the artist and community decided that the subject of the mural should include cultural traditions, icons, and music from the local Puerto Rican, Mexican, and Black community. The mural is a colorful expressionistic depiction of a street scene full of musicians playing a song to celebrate the end of a long day before a fun night.
