Take Flight

Take Flight by Ali Williams was part of the national Girl Scouts Beyond Bars program. The program works to reduce the impact that parental incarceration can have on a girl, her mother, and her caregiver. For this project, mother-daughter meetings took place at a women’s correctional facility. Program participants informed the mural’s design through the creation of vision boards. Program participants also participated in the creation of the mural during an on-site paint day.
