The Multitudes We Contain

Artist Symone Salib created The Multitudes We Contain by engaging with Artrepreneurs students to tell the stories of their own community and the people who influence their lives for the better. Students collaboratively contributed to the mural design that displays brightly colored silhouettes of people who collectively inspire them. This public art project speaks to paying gratitude to people in this city whose small actions create ripple effect toward larger changes.

As Salib explains, “Creating art that depicts the people you love and admire in the community helps to pay homage to the hard work that these people do every day. I want to give people their roses while they’re still on this earth. I want people who dedicate their whole lives to building strong communities to feel the gratitude they deserve. I want people to feel seen. I want people to feel heard. I want people to feel valued.”
