this is a HOPE Poem…(have you ever heard of ONE?)

this is a HOPE Poem… (have you ever heard of ONE?) is a series of four murals located along the Indiana Avenue corridor in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Poet Ursula Rucker worked with Kensington residents who live along a 13-block corridor of Indiana Avenue between McPherson Park and Impact Veterans Services. The goal was to engage families and community members at Hissey and Hope Parks to create a series of murals along this single corridor. Gaia, a Baltimore artist, designed the murals, whose content comes from poetry workshops with community members. The murals serve as a visual representation of the community’s collective voice and a celebration of its creativity.
Location Note: One of four murals located along the Indiana Avenue Corridor between Front and D Streets.
