Together We Stand, Divided We Fall

Together We Stand, Divided We Fall by artist John Lewis is located in the North Philadelphia neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This mural is a stand against violence in the neighborhood. It is a memorial for Chollo Rodriguez and Yamira Vargas, a young couple who were killed in this neighborhood in the late 1990’s. The memorial portraits are centered in a narrative with a symbolic sacrificial figure, a soldier who has sacrificed for peace, with other symbols of peace and justice.

The mural was restored in 2025.
