Tower Records

Tower Records by artist James Dupree was painted on an interior wall of a now closed Tower Records Store in the Center City neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The mural blended seamlessly into the background of the store. A figural abstraction of the Philadelphia provides the backdrop to a series of musicians. Loud and bold the mural proclaims its connections to the histories of Jazz and the Blues featuring the visual sounds of a brass band and the smooth notes of string accompaniment.
