Tracing the Paths of Belmont History

Tracing the Paths of Belmont History by artist Jared Bader is located in the Belmont neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A gateway mural along a major commercial corridor, this site specific work of art provides a historical perspective on the surrounding neighborhood. It commemorates the history of the Lincoln Highway, the first trans-continental highway in the U.S., and the history and historic landmarks of Lancaster Avenue and surrounding neighborhoods. With the support of the Neighborhood Transformation Initiative (NTI) through community partner PHS/Philadelphia Green, the lot in front of the mural was beautifully landscaped and a plaque detailing the landmarks was also installed.

The mural was restored in 2010.
