Tribute to Battalion Chief Michael R. Goodwin, Sr.

Battalion Chief Michael Goodwin Sr, in command of Ladder 27, was lost in the line of duty on April 6, 2013 while operating at the scene of a three-alarm fire in South Philadelphia. In honor of his service, Mural Arts, the Philadelphia Fire Department, and the PFD Family Association created Tribute to Batallion Chief Michael Goodwin Sr. The mural depicts Goodwin, “This Old House” fire station, and neighborhood landmarks, and is a tribute to Battalion Chief Goodwin’s remarkable twenty-nine year career with the Fire Department.
