Tribute to Family

Tribute to Family by William Freeman is located on Broad Streed in Center City, Philadelphia near the Vine Street Expressway. This mural is a tribute to the family unit and the safety and stability that it provides. The mural was created under a tight timeframe due to the funding period from the sponsor, Cigna. While painting this mural, Freeman became ill and was unable to finish the mural. Members of Mural Arts Philadelphia staff all pitched in to finish the mural before the deadline. This is gives the mural its patchwork look and
explains why the mural contains different styles of painting.
