Underground Railroad

Underground Railroad by Keir Johnston is a series of mosaics and murals covering the pillars in the railroad underpass in the Poplar neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The artist chose to portray a series of selected community leaders of past and present to “inspire new leaders for the future.”

Location Note: Pillars are located in the railroad underpass between 8th and 9th Streets and Brown and Poplar Streets.
