Walnut Lane Flowers

Walnut Lane Flowers by artist Diane Pieri is located on a bridge near the Tulpehocken Train Station in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A bridge is a utilitarian piece of architecture that exists all over the world and have existed for Millennia. Pieri takes a simple concept, that of flowers and turns this bridge into a work of art. Her mural brightens both sides of the bridge which sits over a set of train tracks. The flowers tie into the rest of Walnut street which blooms in vibrant colors each spring.
