We The People (Philadelphia Office of the District Attorney interior mural)
We the People designed by Jason Slowik, and painted by Eric Okdeh is located in the interior of the City of Philadelphia Office of the District Attorney, adjacent to City Hall in Center City Philadelphia. Taking its title and background imagery from the preamble to the United States Constitution, this mural celebrates the history of Philadelphia as a landmark city for the history of US Government. Philadelphia, which even served as the US Capitol for a time, was home to the constitutional convention that wrote and signed the US Constitution in Independence hall depicted on the right side of the mural. An important location to the upholding of justice the District Attorney’s office provides a unique experience when viewing this mural as our country’s laws continue to shift towards being more equitable to all.
