What You’ve Been Missing

Artist Felix St. Fort painted What You’ve Been Missing outdoors so the public could observe the process. The mural was completed in weekly installments during the spring at Bryant Park, NYC. It was a nostalgic marketing initiative created by Visit Philadelphia to engage former Philly residents and students back to the region to reconnect with and rediscover the local neighborhoods, food, arts, culture, history, and sports they adored when living, working, or attending school in Philadelphia.
What You’ve Been Missing is now installed in the Cherry Street Pier, where visitors can view it all year round.

-The Philadelphia Zoo Balloon
-Rowers on the Schuylkill
-Biking, horse, and hiking trails in our parks
-Water ice
-The Philadelphia skyline, including the William Penn statue above City Hall
-The Ben Franklin Bridge
-The Liberty Bell

-A hammock, a fixture at Spruce Harbor Park
-A soft pretzel
-Philadelphia’s lively music scene
