Windows of Transformation

Windows of Transformation by artist Alloyius Mcilwaine is a mural located in the Tioga neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The mural beautifies an underpass that was often ripe for graffiti. Mcilwaine’s mother grew up in the area, so he wanted to feature a strong female figure surrounded by cludoglyphs or positive affirmations. All of the symbols in the mural have different positive meanings related to building, structure, dreaming, love and growth.
