Words and Voices

Words and Voices by artist Donald Gensler is located on the front entrance to Benjamin Franklin High School in the Spring Garden neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The murals uses selected text from the autobiography of Benjamin Franklin as a framework for illustrating the concept of commitment as it relates to the lives of current Benjamin Franklin High School students. Among the themes explored on the wall are Franklin’s values, his steadfast attention to his inventions and the obstacles he faced and conquered in his journey through life.
