In 2017, Mural Arts brought beauty and art to all kinds of spaces. We empowered neighbors to come together, to take civic issues into their own hands. We took time to celebrate our leaders and our heroes—we worked with local and international artists to create world-class works of art in our own backyards. And we produced Monument Lab, a citywide public art and history project that captured the imagination of our city and the entire country.
Individually, collectively—your community, your neighbors, your neighborhood—we have a moment to kind of claim it. This is not a time to sit still.
