Join us to celebrate a new mural created in collaboration with the African Cultural Alliance of North America (ACANA). Mural Arts has a long-standing relationship with ACANA, working to bridge and strengthen relationships with African American and African immigrant populations in the neighborhood.
This project aims to bring attention to Africatown and to engender a sense of home both here and abroad. In keeping with this intention, African Market Day was designed by Liberian artist Abu Fofana and painted by Philadelphia native Parris Stancell.
