Avery D. Harrington Clean Bus Mural Dedication

Join Mural Arts Philadelphia and Avery D. Harrington Elementary School to dedicate a new mural inspired by the students’ vision for clean transportation and environmental justice. We’ll cut the ribbon on the mural, hear remarks from partners, and celebrate the school’s commitment to a greener future!

Designed by Jenna Robb and Jason Killinger, the mural is part of a larger project celebrating the School District of Philadelphia’s transition to electric school buses, with support from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Students from Mural Arts’ after-school program worked with Robb and Killinger to learn about the positive impact of electric buses and imagine a healthier, greener world. Through hands-on activities and conversations about the environment, the school community helped shape the mural and bring their ideas to life.
