Ethiopian Community Association of Greater Philadelphia Mural Dedication

Join Mural Arts Philadelphia to dedicate a vibrant, collage-style mural at the Ethiopian Community Association of Greater Philadelphia—the first mural from celebrated Ethiopian-American visual artist and filmmaker Sosena Solomon.

The festivities will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, food, music, and more as we gather to honor Ethiopian culture, history, and community.

Created in collaboration with University City District, the mural brings Ethiopia’s rich cultural heritage to life through Solomon’s distinctive artistic vision. Working with expert muralist Yannick Lowery, Solomon transformed the large-scale wall into a vibrant collage featuring iconic Ethiopian architecture, cultural symbols, and imagery.
