José Ortiz-Pagán will lead a festive procession around McPherson Library and along E Indiana Avenue in Kensington. Co-created with Kensington neighbors, this heartfelt procession celebrates resilience, unity, and renewal in the heart of Kensington. A project of Mural Arts Philadelphia and the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIdS), the event is designed to harness the collective power of memory and foster unity, transformation, safety, and respect among the residents of Kensington. It is funded by Impact Services.
