Celebrate freedom and creativity at Juneteenth Art’ventures, a vibrant event hosted by DiasporaDNA Story Center in partnership with Mural Arts Philadelphia and Mt. Airy Arts Garage! Join us for a day of cultural connection and artistic exploration, featuring a Printmaking by the People workshop. Unleash your creativity in a hands-on printmaking workshop led by Mural Arts Philadelphia, inspired by the spirit of community and self-expression, and dive into the rich tapestry of Juneteenth through art, history, and togetherness.

No prior printmaking experience is necessary. Ages 16 and above. Further details and the registration link are coming soon.

This event is part of Mural Arts’ Printmaking by the People, a city-wide project that will help commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration by asking Philadelphians the question, if the Declaration were to be written today, what rights would you want it to include? Come join us and have a chance for your work to serve as inspiration for an upcoming mural and to be shown in an exhibition at the Parkway Central Library in 2026.
