Weaving Bountiful Harvest Mural Dedication

Weaving A Bountiful Harvest © 2026 City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program / Eurhi Jones, Weaver's Way Co-Op, Chelten Ave and Morris St. Photo by Steve Weinik.

You’re invited to join the celebration for the mural dedication of Weaving Bountiful Harvest at Weavers Way Co-op Germantown—a vibrant new public artwork honoring land, food, and community connection.

The mural by Eurhi Jones reflects the natural abundance and seasonal rhythms of the Wissahickon landscape, highlighting the interconnected systems that sustain local food and community life. Imagery of the “Three Sisters”—corn, beans, and squash—appears alongside native plants, pollinators, and flowing organic forms that evoke cycles of growth and interdependence. A central loom, inspired by one found in the basement of the Germantown store, symbolizes how soil, seeds, seasons, and people are woven together. The work also honors poet and neighbor Sonia Sanchez.

Event agenda:

  • 4:15 pm – Gather for ribbon cutting and remarks from stakeholders, elected officials, and artist Eurhi Jones.
  • 4:45 pm – Enjoy a DJ set, art activity, and refreshments, including water ice and soft pretzels. Enter a raffle for a chance to win a guided mural tour.
