Six Art Ed Staffers Take on Our Signature M
A few years ago, our amazing friends at J2 Design helped us reshape the Mural Arts look, starting with our logo. We ended up with an image that looks like an M for Mural Arts, but could be a brushstroke—or the pulse of a heartbeat—or a spark of electricity. Any way you look at it, our logo is a representation of our identity. It’s how we show the world who we are.
But the best part about our logo is how you can put your own spin on it, and turn it into something that represents you. We’re always talking about finding your identity through art with our Art Ed students, and every year they design their own t-shirts at our Annual Student Art Show.
Just like our Art Education classes provide a jumping-off point for our incredible students—to explore their creativity, discover a passion for design, or cultivate a sense of color and shape—the shape of the M is just a starting point. Since our Annual Student Art Show opens this Friday, April 13, we asked our Art Ed staff to use the M to show us who they are through art! And bonus: the students did it, too, and we picked our two favorites.
