The Top 7 Mural Arts Moments in May

Every month at Mural Arts has something special. This May, we spent time in the sunshine creating and celebrating the the projects and people who make our work sing.

Artist Richard Haas designed Growth of a Metropolis to feature several centuries of fabulous Philly architecture, and acclaimed muralist Jon Laidacker rose to great heights to realize Haas’ design.

A stretch of Girard Avenue got a shot of color with new murals from MadC and Greg LaMarche as part of our Art Education program’s Reading Between the Lines curriculum.

Every year, we come together to celebrate the work we do as an institution and dream together about what next year’s work will encompass. Celebrating at The Fillmore, we danced, ate delicious food, and imagined an art-full future.
