The Top 8 April Moments at Mural Arts

From colorful mural dedications to delicious potlucks, April was full of memorable moments. Read on for eight great snapshots of life at Mural Arts!

Shaquan, a member of The Guild, spoke with the blog about how Mural Arts has transformed his life.

Artistic and environmental explorers in the A2O program experimented with methods of tie-dying at the Wright Recreation Center.

Neighbors gathered together for a multi-cultural potluck at Southeast by Southeast. Cooking classes, delicious smells, and fabulous entertainment added up to an awesome evening.

Candy Chang, SWOON, and Jane Golden spoke to a packed house at the University of the Arts, exploring intersections between wellbeing and artistic practice.

On the corner of South and Juniper, The Atlas of Tomorrow, an interactive mural, started to take shape.

The North Star mural dedication brought out a playful crowd, and music, food, and super swings set a festive mood.

We hit a homerun on Jackie Robinson Day, celebrating the restoration of two wonderful baseball murals with our phavorite Phanatic as well as Phillies Chairman David Montgomery, who just happens to be one of this year’s Wall Ball honorees!

Artist Greg Lamarche spent time with students in our Art Ed program, turning a corner of Girard Avenue into a vibrant alphabetic jam.
