Reservations must be made at least 14 days before the desired tour date. Dates and times are subject to availability and are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
You can also join us on a virtual tour where a live professionally-trained Mural Arts tour guide will take guests through different Philadelphia neighborhoods to view several stunning murals as well as learn about the 40 year history of Mural Arts and its dynamic program areas.
All proceeds benefit Mural Arts Philadelphia’s educational programs & community projects.

This experiential mural painting activity allows guests to work on painting panels of parachute cloth (similar to a large-scale paint-by-numbers) simulating the process of mural making. This experience offers a unique perspective on the concept with a hands-on experience and is perfect for schools, corporations (team-building) and convention groups and can be combined with a tour to complete the learning process.

Tours are 90 minutes long and some specialty tours are longer.

You can redeem your gift certificate for a public tour by calling us at 215-925-3633 or emailing tours@muralarts.org. Please have your gift certificate handy as we will need the certificate number.

We have tour routes throughout the entire city.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance of tour. Refunds are not available, but tickets can be exchanged for a future tour, based on availability.
Mural tours run rain or shine!
Tours are only cancelled for extreme weather events that could cause hazardous conditions, and refunds are issued in the event of a cancellation.
There are no restroom breaks during the tour, so please plan accordingly.

We can accommodate guests with advance notice by calling (215) 925-3633.
Trolleys are supplied by our transportation partner, Philadelphia Trolley Works, and do provide a level of comfort to our guests, as they are air-conditioned and heated when weather warrants. However, if high temperatures become a concern, a tour may be conducted on a mini-bus, at our discretion.
