Philadelphia Safe and Sound

Philadelphia Safe and Sound by artist Roldan West was located in the Norris Square neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. One of Mural Arts more abstract figural murals borrowing elements from cubism this mural features swirling geometric people singing, playing instruments, and healing. A poem interweaves between the figures which occupy the middle of the mural. In the top register a series of photo realistic teens and children mingle and pose for the viewers eye.
