This mural features two scenes of trolley travel from the past that evoke Philadelphia’s strong connection to the streetcar. The upper image in color is a passenger looking out for a trolley while it goes over the Strawberry Mansion Bridge. The lower image, taken from a 1909 photograph shows a busy street scene of pedestrians, shoppers, and a trolley on 12th street outside Reading Terminal Market, which was once a busy transportation center and now a large marketplace.
