Black Family Reunion mural at 3409 Ridge Avenue (on view 1986-1989)

Mural of a picnic scene celebrating the annual Black Family Reunion. Created as part of the Philadelphia Anti-Graffiti Network. It was painted by artists Jane Golden and Dietrich Adonis and was located in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This original small mural was later painted out and replaced with larger murals at several other locations nearby.

Murals painted by the Philadelphia Anti-Graffiti Network (PAGN), a City agency and the precursor to the Mural Arts Program, were created with the goal of transforming graffiti writers’ talents into positive community arts initiatives. Read more about Mural Arts’ history here.

Location Note: Mural no longer on view at this location (painted out ca. 1989).
