Callowhill Street underpass mural (title unknown)

This mural (title unknown) was located in the Callowhill Street Underpass between 2nd and Front Streets in the Old City neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Created by the Philadelphia Anti-Graffiti Network, this mural took two walls of an underpass and turned them into the peopled street fronts. Houses, and members of the local community populate the fictitious neighborhood. This mural is emblematic of early paintings by Mural Arts focusing on community and representing Philadelphia as a connected city.

Location Note: Mural no longer on view at this location (painted out ca. 2015).
