History of Puerto Rico

History of Puerto Rico by artist Jane Golden is located in the Norris Square neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Created with the support of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), the mural was created with the assistance of students in a summer continuing education course on Community Mural Painting. The mural depicts an idealized Puerto Rican landscape. Figures of all ages engage in agricultural activities surrounded by lush vegetation against a mountainous backdrop.
