Pathways to Justice

Pathways to Justice by artist Jamee Grigsby is located in the Tacony neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The mural covers three sides of the Code Court building in Russo Park Playground. Designed through a series of community engagement activities, this vibrant and dynamic artwork embodies the collective vision of the community, garnered through discussions and creative expression. Them mural depicts hands and flowers against a backdrop of abstracted landscapes and patterns interwoven with words: safety, community, growth, opportunity, goals, teamwork, kindness, fairness, sharing and education. The imagery is symbolic to the culture of the neighborhood and the essence of accessible justice, where every individual has the opportunity to express their goals and aspirations we aim to achieve together.

The mural complements the Responsibility Blooms in Our Neighborhood mural on the fourth wall of the building, also designed by Grigsby around the theme of drinking responsibility and promoting a culture of respect and awareness.

Location Note: Mural covers the east, south and west walls of the building.
